GBV is more than physical. It is any action or system that hurts, silences or devalues women and girls. We mobilise communities, support survivors, and advocate for justice.
The many faces of GBV
- Physical violence: assault, battery, beating, harmful traditional practices.
- Emotional & psychological abuse: insults, threats, intimidation, humiliation, controlling behaviors.

- Reproductive rights violations: denying access to maternal healthcare, family planning and safe childbirth.

- Widowhood abuse: inheritance denial, property grabbing, stigmatization, banishment.
